At Community United West Berkshire we believe it is very important to hear the voices of our whole community, especially the seldom heard.
To do this we have set up a ‘Champions’ network where members of different organisations and groups can share with us the views of their members.
If you are a member of a group or organisation in West Berkshire and feel you would like to become a Champion please email info@communityunitedcic.co.uk

Inspired by Healthwatch West Berkshire and their Champions Network Program we have adopted, with their permission, the same model allowing seamless channels of communication and promoting a working model integrating all feedback received from our Champions and Ambassadors.

WHAT IS A CHAMPION?

Individuals who act as a single point of contact (SPOC) between Community United CIC and a group that they are a part of.
This can be any community-related or community group and will include organisations that support seldom listened to voices, support groups, social groups, residents’ groups or shared interest groups.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

As a Community United Champion you are asked to be the point of contact between us and your group.
Ask people in your group about their views and experiences of living locally, education, finance, health, workplace, running a private business, legal advice and social care services and report the views of your group back to Community United.
You can do this in various ways: attending champions meetings (held once a quarter), one to one meetings with a member of the Community United team, filling out a Champions feedback form or via video conferencing or email.

BENEFITS TO YOU AND YOUR ORGANISATION

As a Community United Champion you can enjoy the experience of meeting and sharing ideas with other similar organisations that face similar challenges. Use your skills, specialised knowledge and experience to contribute to improving health and social services for your community. Ensure the group you are representing has their voice heard by those that commission health and social services in West Berkshire. and make a difference to your local community.
For a full copy of the Champions role click email us and we will send you a copy using this email
